In response to popular demand for new opportunities for Temple events during weekdays, we will inaugurate a new bi-weekly Study Group that will explore a broad range of subjects for discussion. These sessions will meet both at the Temple and at selected locations in various areas, according to participants’ input.
We will kick-off this new series on TUESDAY, APRIL 17 AT 11:00AM AT THE TEMPLE.
Rabbi Berman will guide us as we begin a two month exploration of the most popular and influential section of the Talmud, the Pirke Avot – “The Sayings of the Sages,” which is traditionally studied at this season in between the Festivals of Passover and Shavuot. This anthology of wise and pithy passages on ethical themes have inspired and guided our people through the centuries as concise reflections of Jewish moral teaching.
If you are retired or free during the day, and wish to add a special dimension of learning, inspiration and connection to your weekday routine, plan to join us! We will plan the upcoming schedule and venues at this first session. Coffee and snacks will be served. Please RSVP – firstname.lastname@example.org
